WIND RESIDENTIAL – WHAT YOU SAVE

There are many misconceptions on how exactly wind turbines can be used on the average home and business.

LIPA

Separate rebates for residential, commercial, municipals and non-for-profit organizations

- Residential & Commerical: $3.50 per kWh for the first 16,000 kWh and $0.50 per kWh thereafter up to a maximum of 175,200 kWh or 60% of the total installed cost; the lesser value of the two. 

- Municipalities & non-for-profit: $4.50 per kWh for the first 16,000 kWh and
$1.50 kWh thereafter up to a maximum of 175,200 kWh or 60 % of the installed cost.

Federal Government
30% Income Tax Credit on Total Project Cost
- Residential: When receiving a utility rebate you must all of the rebate of the 30% of
the total project cost.

Accelerated Depreciation
- 5 year accelerated depreciation.
